Dish Up! - My Week 17 in Review

This is Dish Up! - My Week in Review, weekly pictures from my food-obsessed life. Spring is finally here and with it comes everything good: Restaurant Week, ramps, local-asparagus, farmers markets, and warm weather.

I had a fantastic Mediterranean meal at Bacchus on Main Street for Richmond's Restaurant Week.

I have voyeuristic tendencies and love when restaurants have open kitchens. Pictured are the Bacchus cooks hard at work.

I started with white bean and pesto salad with homemade mozzarella. The entire meal was spot-on delicious, although the service was a bit dismissive.

I felt compelled to pull over on the Belvidere Bridge to get a shot of downtown Richmond overlooking the James River.

I'm obsessed with the bagels with 'the works' ($6) from Kitchenette at the South of the James Farmer's Market. They use local Cupertino's bagels and top them with cream cheese (i love the jalapeno), super fresh tomatoes, micro-herbs, capers, and diced red onion. l look forward to it all week long.

I had a great brunch at the French Brasserie, Can Can. Our server suggested the zucchini bread pancakes with lemon sauce and pistachio crumble.  It was an inventive pancake with great texture and just the right amount of tart from the lemon sauce.

My boyfriend made one of the best home-cooked meals I've ever had - pan fried dry-aged ribeye and seared sea scallops wrapped with ramps and topped with caviar. I was definitely freaking out over how good it was.
