Dish Up! - My Week 6 in Review

Happy Valentine's Day! This is Dish Up! - My Week in Review, a weekly roundup of pictures from my everyday life. I had a very eventful week which included eating at four restaurants in one night, a cider tasting at Harvest Grocery & Supply, and lots of snow.

I attended the RVA Dish Crawl - an event similar to a bar crawl, just with food instead...well not only food.  We started off at Heritage, where I had the Bramble ($10).

Mattias Hugglund mixed up my cocktail.  The Bramble  is made with aviation gin, blackberry liqueur, lime, and crushed ice.  Truly delicious.

Our second stop on the crawl was Rowland.  I was able to get a glimpse of Chef Bruce Rowland at work.

This will soon be a forgotten relic.  I felt compelled to take a picture of it while I still had the chance.

I attended a Blue Bee Cider tasting at Harvest Grocery & Supply.  If you haven't been there yet, I would recommend you check it out.

I picked up the Hopsap Shandy, which has hops to balance out the slight sweetness of the cider.  Blue Bee is Richmond's first and only cidery.

Richmond was hit with lots of snow, sleet, and freezing rain.  Everything in the backyard was covered in a layer of ice.

I checked out Sefton Coffee, a newish coffee shop and roasterie in downtown Richmond. My cappuccino was one of the best I've had in a long time.  I also participated in the RVACoffeeLove - Random Acts of Kindness campaign and bought a stranger a cup of coffee.

My next door neighbor, Andy, and his girlfriend made a handsome snowman. Btw, check out Andy's food truck, Popping Mealies.
