Last year when I ran out of gas, a stranger helped me push my car to the side of the road and offered to fill up my tank. I was incredibly grateful and it reminded me that, despite all the ugliness out there, people are good.
Small acts of kindness are powerful – something as simple as a friendly smile can brighten your day. Sadly, sometimes even that seems like too much to ask. We get so bogged down with the daily grind that we forget to do the things that really enrich our lives.
So this Valentine’s Day, instead of limiting your love to just your significant other, go out of you way to show a stranger you care. You can do this by participating in the RVA Coffee Love campaign. All you have to do is buy a cup of coffee for a stranger this Friday and know you’ve helped spread the love.
